Kothagudem Thermal Power Station is located at Paloncha, Khammam. The power plant has an Installed capacity of 1680 MW with 11 units under operation. It is one of the coal based power plants of APGENCO. The plant has been divided into six stages. The station has been the recipient of many prestigious awards from various organisations including meritorious awards instituted by the govt of india. The station has received Meritorious productivity awards for nine times and Incentive award for eight times.
