Pingali Nagendrarao (1901 – 1971) is one of the most original and creative Telugu movie script writers and lyricists. He hails from Razole, East Godavari. Famous for his witty and romantic lyrics, he also wrote dialogues for many a great movie. Patala Bhairavi, Mayabazar and Missamma are some of his best known works.
Pingali is famous for his coining of new and funny words/phrases in telugu like Dhimbaka, Dingari, Gimbali. He was extremely popular and was loved by one and all.
