The popular boarding point is Kunavaram which is approximately around 55Kms from Bhadrachalam. Pochavaram, another important boarding point is around 75Kms from Bhadrachalam. People visiting in winter/summer has to go downstream to Pochavaram as water levels may be low at Kunavaram to ride boats. People coming from Rajamundry can board the boats at Pattiseema or Polavaram.

It is better to have your own transportation to reach these places from Bhadrachalam/Rajamundry, rather than depending of public transport. Alternatively, you can choose APTourism services which provides some special packages to visit this place. Don't forget to make your own food arrangements as you hardly get any good food nearby. The food served in the boats is also not up to the mark.
